Mission Statement ~We endeavor to assist and educate the fledgling farmer, home maker, and start-up cottage industry. We approach our tasks with a sustainable and organic attitude, while keeping a sense of humor over the mistakes we make (so you don't have to).
Colette "Coco" Waddell, aka The Farm Wench, helps run her small family's farm in Ashland, Oregon. In 2017 her daughter, Carly, started Wizard's Way Flower Farm on the six acre property. Carly earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Horticulture with a specialty in ecological and sustainable farm production from Oregon State University. Colette graduated from The University of California Santa Barbara with a BA in Anthropology and History. She has written two non-fiction books; "Through the Eyes of a Survivor" and "Shade House Conversations." With no real experience in gardening or raising animals, Colette decided to try her hand at a variety of domestic endeavors where she experienced some failure, and also a lot of satisfaction. Always dreaming of owning a farm, Colette and her husband Ross moved to Ashland from Santa Barbara in their fifties, with two dogs and two horses. They now raise twenty-two chickens, a rooster, two horses and two bee hives. The entire family now enjoy the company of, and are tolerated by, a total of six dogs.
